Are you a reader who loves to discover new authors? Do you enjoy that special feeling of opening up a brand new book and curling up with it, alongside a good cup of coffee?
Then this new subscription box-a-month service is just what you’ve been looking for.
There is a special kind of person who simply adores having the chance to explore an author’s new work—especially while they are sipping a cup of premium freshly-roasted coffee. The Bound to Brew crew understands this simple pleasure. That’s what inspired them to embark on this creative new venture.
Once Upon a Time...
The team at Bound to Brew knows the feeling of discovering a recently-published literary gem. The company started in 2020 in Denver, Colorado. Being book and coffee lovers themselves, the founders had the idea of supporting new and upcoming authors, as well as local coffee roasters, and combining the two. Their main goal was to acquire the resources to debut a monthly subscription box, geared towards people just like the founders of the company.
Bound to Brew’s mission is to offer subscribers exclusive access to first-edition books that they couldn’t get anywhere else – that’s the “bound” part.
Bound to Brew is committed to building a reading community for authors who might not get published by other big publishing companies. By reading hundreds of manuscripts and choosing one for each month, the Bound to Brew crew is breaking down traditional publishing barriers and promoting new writers’ voices.
Bound to Brew is changing how authors are discovered and compensated for their creative efforts.
In addition to a new, original book by a not-yet-famous author, the team also packs a selected, freshly-roasted bag of coffee in your subscription box. It’s a different flavor from a different roaster, each month – that’s the “brew” part.
Enjoy a new reading experience while also supporting local coffee roasters and trying their coffee. Look at it as a special pamper gift to yourself, or even a loved one. Perhaps you’re always wanting to share your discoveries with a special friend or relative who also loves to discover new authors and sample great coffee?
The coffee included in each monthly box is selected by the Bound to Brew crew from some of their favorite coffee roasters. Sharing a new roast each month is a great way for subscribers to connect with and support small coffee businesses.
If your preference is decaf, you need only indicate this when you are completing checkout details.
Each month, Bound to Brew donates a portion of their profits to The Book Foundation. This nonprofit is committed to getting new books to children in underserved areas. It is also committed to closing the gap between children who have books and those who do not.
It’s a proven fact: Children who live in homes with books are academically three years ahead of children in homes where there are no books. In low-income neighborhoods, the rate of books is, shockingly, one to every 300 children. The Book Foundation works tirelessly to change that ratio. Each month, they give new books to underserved children and families.
In the Spirit of Giving
Subscription boxes are not a new idea, but sometimes we forget they are the perfect option for that hard-to-buy-for friend or relative. There are hundreds of subscription gift options. Check out these other gift options. They range from books, magazines, fruit, cheese, wine, pickles, sauces, spices, and chocolate to dolls, children’s toys, and doggy treats.
Subscription boxes give the recipient something to look forward to each month, all year long. They are a quick, safe, and easy way to shop. Often, as is the case with our subscription boxes, shipping is included and your gift comes attractively packaged.
